Mark Nicol (Photoelektric)
Having been legally blind since birth, photography didn’t register as a possible means of expression for Mark Nicol. At 34 Mark bought his first camera and soon began to try to coax more out the automatic camera. Upon realizing its limitations, his attempts to wring more out of his first camera triggered a heady desire to experiment with his new method of ‘seeing’. See Mark ‘s profile for more details.

Tim O’Brien
Tim O’Brien is a part-time photographer, blogger and economist in Chapel Hill, NC. Tim, who has a form of juvenile macular degeneration, freelances for his local paper as well as shooting for himself. Though he prefers portraiture, many of his images come from travel and events.
